Um, OK. I'll make my thoughts brief.
Ghost training: I have no sympathy whatsoever.
Ambulation: you have so many other games to choose from. Enjoy. If this comes in I will look around once and then go back to being a fat pod blob, because I joined this game to fly spaceships, not dress up silly clothes and fire laser pistols at dancing girls. I already have enough of that in my day job.
Weapon linking: sounds good, anything that reduces lag makes me happy.
Stackless I/O, 64 bit etc.: Here's hoping. I mostly fly missions, and I wonder why they have to be so stuttery - can't the data be preloaded during warp, instead of my client freezing when I drop out of warp (always wondering if I'm going to be missing half my shield when it's moving again. It's tolerable, but anything that speeds it up is great. One day I'll have enough money for a t1 direct to Iceland or something, and I'll still lose ships.
Storefronts: Cool idea. I hope it will allow for public loan and freeform contracts. There is a lot of interesting PvP type stuff possible with contracts (not just pricing ripoffs) that goes unexplored right now. I feel that many new and interesting 'professions' could evolve in a player-driven skill market, just as interesting economic patterns have developed in the player-driven item market.
Certificates: I suppose it makes life a bit easier for new players. That's a good thing.
Medals: Not personally interested. Maybe useful to other people.
Graphics: I guess I am the only person who is mostly satisfied with standard graphics. Next time I have money to build a new PC I will ooh and aah over them, but I understand they're very important to a lot of people and I'm being old-fashioned.
New Capital industrial ship: YES; I have been one of the ones loudly demanding such a thing. I'm assuming something between a Rorqual and a freighter, with some slots. I have always thought the freighter was a big waste of time, who wants to fly a ship with no slots?
Rebalancing Industrials/Industry changes: Mini rant here...
Rebalancing how? Will it be easier? Harder? WHAT? It's very frustrating to know changes are coming but not how to prepare for them. For example, a few expansions ago when new players were given a big starter boost, it was really upsetting to older players who had just missed the cut and felt they'd 'lost' their first six weeks of work.
I understand that you can't please everyone, and that there will be winers and losers and inevitable forum drama. But if you want to announce a change, CCP, you can minimize that by giving some direction. For example, I LIKE hauling - so I'm excited. But should I now halt my other plans and work really hard to train industrial ships V? Or will I be allowed to fly transport ships with Industrial ship IV (especially since I can train transports right now, but not fly them)? If transports get boosted, it's worth it. If they become more accessible, I've spent 10 days training for a 5% increase in capacity that I could live without. More slots? More speed? Bigger hold? A new ship? Less of something else? WHAT?!!
In short, please give us an opportunity to prepare. We'll grumble anyway, but not as much if we can get positioned for a new change rather than just discovering who the winners and losers are the day the expansion rolls out.
'and much more...': Have you seen the new Batman movie? You know that scene in the police station, with the Joker looking at Batman like he can't believe he's hearing this clicheed nonsense? OK, that's how I feel about this.
So I'll just remind CCP of the commercial truth that you provide the product, but your customers are the ones that sell it. 'Marketing' to existing customers is alienating; either say nothing or be specific.
Thank you.
